Digital Marketing Specialist



JOB TITLE:                Digital Marketing Specialist

ROLE PURPOSE:     To develop, implement and maintain the digital marketing approach and platforms and to support marketing through effective digital campaigns and presence


Key Performance Areas


Digital Marketing Planning and Management

  • To develop the digital marketing plan by understanding the overall marketing strategy and plan, understanding the JHC brand and client profile and developing a digital marketing plan for approval annually
  • To coordinate creation of digital content by reviewing content provided, designing the digitisation of the content and updating content on all digital platforms monthly and as required
  • To manage digital platforms by monitoring representation of the brand across all platforms, maintaining brand consistency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action monthly and as required
  • To optimise digital search outcomes by engaging with search engines and optimising search words and success as required 
  • To support marketing by identifying digital platforms and strategies for promotion, developing campaigns, designing materials and implementing them monthly and as required

Social Media Management

  • To develop the social media plan by review all social media platforms, understanding the JHC client base and developing the social media plan annually and as required
  • To maintain social media presence by designing social media posts and materials, posting to social media platforms, monitoring social media activity and responding to social media comments and events daily and as required
  • To manage social media concerns by engaging with customer experience and JHC leadership, formulating appropriate responses and implementing corrective action as approved as required 

Website Management

  • To manage the JHC website by designing and updating the website, uploading content, tracking website traffic, analysing effectiveness, identifying opportunities for increasing effectiveness and implementing improvements as required
  • To update the JHC website by reviewing customer experiences and developing and designing website improvements, submitting for approval and implementing as required

Materials Design

  • To design materials by engaging with the business to understand the needs and audience, developing layouts, infographics and marketing content, presenting draft designs and securing approval as required


  • To report on digital marketing initiatives by defining key performance indicators, tracking performance against the indicators, analysing and interpreting performance, drafting reports including recommendations monthly and as required
  • To draft adhoc reports by sourcing and analysing information, interpreting performance and submitting reports for approval as required



Qualifications and Experience

  • NQF 7 qualification in graphic design, digital marketing or similar is required
  • 5 – 7 years experience in digital marketing is required
  • Experience in the property sector is preferred
