Tasnim was JHC's first refurbishment of an empty multi-storey building, involving the upgrading of existing units and the installation of geysers and water and electricity meters in each flat.
Its proximity to San Martin enabled management economies of scale, and started an urban renewal focus in this neighbourhood. Tasnim was the first building where JHC saw the upgrading impact on surrounding buildings which soon began to sprout new coats of paint.
